Le Relais de Chambésy — Restaurant in Pregny-Chambésy

Very nice place in Chambessy, that is Micheline restaurant guide. We had reserved place using Fork app, which has offered 30% discount on menu. Small parking lot next to restaurant was packed, but there is a large parking lot in 150 meters for up to 4 hours. On arrival we were quickly seated and offered menus. On request baby highchair was provided. Waiter spoke english. All food was fresh, from high quality ingredients. All arrived rather quickly. Portions are decent and filling. Their French fries are next level crunchy and fluffy, and of original form. The best french fries we ever had. There were no complaints to food or service. You can see a patch of Leman from the table, but it is very scenic. The terrace is nice with flowers. Waiter regularly checked whether anything extra required. At the end we have mentioned our discount and were provided 30% on some of the items. Pretty great...

Went out the way to try this nice looking restaurant. Wasn't too busy and the staff were friendly.

However the service was very slow. Noticeably enough so that we almost considered complaining about it.

Also perhaps it was an off day for the cooking staff but the steaks that were ordered consisted of the toughest, chewiest cuts of meat I've encountered for a long time. The vegetables were fresh and cooked perfectly.

None of this "service" though came cheap. In fact compared to Les Armures more in the centre of Geneve to which we have also eaten in recently the cost of the overall experience was over priced.

Not impressed overall and other establishments do much the same better, I wouldn't return and only politeness stops me from handing out 2 stars.

I'm sure the wine is lovely but good wine can be found at many an...

We went for a sunny lunch on the terrace for my wife's 49th birthday yesterday. We had not been there for quite some time. My wife chose the vegetarian menu (3 courses, CHF 48) and I went for the weekday lunch menu (2 courses, CHF 30). The food was excellent (including desert) and in generous supply (including bread), service was pleasant, and hence the value was a-ma-zing: including wine and sparkling water our total bill was less than CHF 50 per person (parking was free and available)!
