PAPILL'ON - Bistro Alpin — Restaurant in Riddes

I recently dined at Papill'on Bistro and unfortunately, my experience was quite mixed. Upon arrival, the first waiter approached us to take our drink order, but his manner was noticeably disrespectful and unfriendly. He did not provide us with a menu card until we specifically asked for it, and even then, he handed it over without any courtesy or concern.

In contrast, another staff member, who appeared to be the cook, later brought out our food and was very friendly, which was a refreshing change. The food itself was fine, but not exeptional.

Overall, the unfriendly attitude of the first waiter significantly marred our dining experience. While the friendliness of the cook was appreciated, it wasn't enough to offset the initial negative impression. I hope the management addresses these service issues to improve future customers'...

We found this restaurant just looking up dining close to our chalet rental in La Tzoumaz. This was a delicious experience for all of us. The food was excellent, the server managed the entire restaurant himself, and gave great service. The ambiance was beautiful with natural wood accents and a toasty fire. We would recommend this as a wonderful location to visit...

This place had the feel of a mountain lodge restaurant in Montana. Or the Sierras of California.
