Restaurant Pier 8716 — Restaurant in Schmerikon

I've dined there with 4 kids and 3 adults. At first, my impression was good, I heard good things, and the place was almost full. The service was great. The two of them ran the entire restaurants seamlessly. As we were waiting years for our food to arrive, when it did, my lactose free order came with a giant dollop of herb butter, I was told that I can eat it as it was lactose free (hmmmm) never the less, the server took it back to the kitchen and when my steak came back it was only half of what it initially was cause the chef just cut a junk off on the side where the butter was and without cooking, slapped it back on my plate. Although the vegetables were tasty and well cooked. My steak was half raw and half cooked. (Must be a new cooking method that "pauli" teaches. Anyway, I hope they can take this as constructive feedback and do better...

It was definitely a one of a kind experience, the atmosphere was lovely that day and given that i was with my coworkers i found it to be a pleasant place to dine in. The Staff was friendly even if a bit scattered around. And the Food was good, i had some fish with fries that came with a tartar sauce which tasted great. The dough in which the fish was covered in tasted a bit heavy on the oil it was fried in but other than that it was good and the fires were at a normal portion that bordered to a small portion. My friend had fries with her meal and she got half of what i had on the fries side which disappointed her.

Over all it is definitely an experience to go there and enjoy their food and the view was fantastic...

Die Kellner (es gab tatsächlich mehrere) hielten es 15 Minuten lang nicht für nötig unseren Tisch zu putzen. Obwohl man ja platziert wird.

Dann wollte nur einer von uns eine Vorspeise. Als wir es während der Bestellung rückgängig machen wollten, hiess es nur es ist schon raus. Nun gut, dann nehmen wir alles zusammen, auch die Vorspeise zu den Hauptspeisen.

Es hat natürlich nicht geklappt.

Wenn man etwas zu trinken möchte, muss man die Kellner sofern sie denn kommen und nicht abwechselnd an der Seite alle rauchen, schon lautstark darauf aufmerksam machen, das man etwas trinken möchte.

Es waren über 35Grad am o.g. Samstag.

Eigentlich sollte es andersherum sein, der / die Kellner fragen mich ob ich noch etwas zu trinken möchte. Ganz zu schweigen, dass sie mit auch aus meiner Flasche nachschenken sollten….

Aber wenn man nur raucht.

Des Weiteren gab es viele Wespen an diesen Tag. Wir fingen sie mit Serviette und Glas ein. Machten den Kellner beim Abräumen darauf aufmerksam. Er liess genau vor unseren Augen / Gesicht frei und lachte laut.

Das grenzt schon an Körperverletzung!

Als dann doch endlich der Hauptgang kam, gab es erst auf Nachfrage zu den Pommes Ketchup. Aber es gab nur ne leere Kunststofflasche vom örtlichen Detailhändler. Als wir den Kellner darauf hinwiesen, gab es nur Tüten wie bei McDonalds.

Ich traute meinen Augen kaum….

Aber es war kein Märchen.
