Al-Beirout Sion 1959 — Restaurant in Sion

I was honestly expecting more for a self called traditional Lebanese Restaurant.

Meats were dry and a bit tasteless, the hummus alright but the moussaka very disappointing, waterish and boring. 😮‍💨 Some of the dishes were good, falafels were great 🧆. Food takes very long time to come and the orders get messed sometimes. We had to ask for more bread every 5 minutes while it should keep coming as without it no food can be eaten 😞 I think there is plenty of space for improvement 🤘🏻 Still not too bad but I don't see a reason...

Un mot : exceptionnel. Si vous hésitez encore à choisir un restaurant à Sion, ne cherchez plus : vous êtes au bon endroit. Je reviens régulièrement ici, et à chaque fois, c’est un pur bonheur. Aujourd’hui, le chef Abdou m’a régalé avec des brochettes Chkaf et une Man’ouché muhammara au fromage, absolument divines. La présentation était à tomber : un lit de persil, oignons finement émincés, des épices savamment dosées, et quelques piments grillés, accompagnés d’oignons et de tomates cuites au charbon, qui apportaient une touche d’authenticité incroyable. La viande, tendre et juteuse, était tout simplement parfaite. Le tout était accompagné d’une sauce à l’ail maison, de houmous, de mouhamara, et de frites croustillantes en bonne quantité. Ce que j’apprécie particulièrement, c’est l’implication du chef Abdou : on sent l’amour qu’il met dans chaque plat, son esprit d’innovation et son souci du détail. Il fait clairement évoluer ce lieu avec passion. Mention spéciale à Mahmoud, un serveur au grand cœur, toujours accueillant, souriant et attentif. Ici, on est accueilli comme en famille, avec chaleur et respect. Je recommande cette adresse les yeux fermés. Que vous soyez amateur de cuisine libanaise ou simplement curieux, vous vivrez une expérience authentique et mémorable. À tous ceux qui lisent ce commentaire : vous n’avez aucune raison de chercher ailleurs. Vous êtes déjà tombés sur la bonne adresse. Revenez-y une fois… et vous...

The food was super good, the personnel was nice. However, there must have been a problem with the service. The plates arrived all at different time, we had to ask twice for the water which arrived after the food and the tea we ordered arrived at the end of the meal.
