Ferme-Asile, Le Restaurant — Restaurant in Sion

This place is a true hidden gem, although it has a very strong reputation in town to deliver very good products at good prices. You wouldn’t guess what a nice terrace can be found beyond the trees. The atmosphere is very magical and serene and I had a great cozy evening with my partner. For a start, the strawberry basil gazpacho was really refreshing. For my taste, not too sweet - however it does tend to be sweet. Every plate we had had a great presentation, and portions were amazing. My partner loved the warm bread he received with his fois gras as an appetizer. I liked my veal, although I would have preferred a less strong dried tomatoes taste in the sauce. The risotto had a great consistency, perhaps slightly too buttery. I didn’t taste the basil. The tartare of my partner was great, and so were the fries. As a final step we took a sorbet valaisanne and the portion was great to be shared between two. Prices are fair for products which are local. The staff was very friendly and luckily for me who I don’t speak French, at least one person was speaking Italian too. We didn’t have to wait too much, I feel that the staff was properly trained. In addition, we never sensed any noise from the kitchen nor stress from the owner (very important point!). I can definitely recommend...

Extra lovely. Delicious food, very friendly staff. Can not say much about the menu (my pasta was delicious) since it is a very small, selective menu that seems to change seasonally. When the waiter discovered that my starter was no that big as I anticipated, he got me a free second salad! Superior service.

Great place in Sion ! Very good restaurant with appealing menu. Price are very correct. Nice atmosphere and decoration, there is offer temporary art exposition in the restaurant itself. Terrace in the summer is great. Location is not really in the center of Sion but not far, parking for the car is free. ! It’s an unique place mixing good...
