A Hidden Gem with Big Portions and Homemade Goodness!

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at this cozy spot, and we were absolutely blown away by the experience. We ordered the double cheeseburger and chicken strips, and I couldn’t resist stealing a few bites — let me just say, wow

The double cheeseburger was stacked high with juicy, perfectly seasoned patties and melty cheese that oozed with every bite. The bun was super large and soft yet held everything together beautifully. It tasted like something made with love, not mass-produced like you get at chains. Truly a burger lover's dream!

As for the chicken strips — these were nothing short of amazing. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and clearly made from real chicken breast, not the processed stuff. They came out hot and fresh, and the homemade dipping sauce just took them to the next level.

One thing that really stood out: the portion sizes were generous. You definitely get your money’s worth here. It’s the kind of food that fills you up and warms your soul — like a home-cooked meal made just for you.

If you’re looking for hearty, homemade food that hits all the right notes, this is the place. We'll definitely be back again — maybe next time I'll get my own...

I was passing through with my family on our way to Wengen and stopped by this place because of a dessert recommendation. We checked it out. It was ok, but waitress needs a wake up call. Incredibility rude and snarky, especially when there is a toddler around. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. I will never recommend this place to anyone visiting Vitznau. The other establishments in the area are a lot more accommodating, understanding, and friendly. To the owner: Maybe you care, maybe you don't, but talk to your waitress. I'm sure I will get some kind of combative response from the owner to this review, but that will show you what you can expect once you step foot inside their restaurant. I'll definitely visit Vitznau again, but 100% not this place. Do better.

Edit: yes, call child services on us. It was the afternoon. That's how you decided to respond? Good job. By the way, no one was using your place as a waiting room. We all ate. Do you have us confused for someone else? You're used to reviews like this? Isn't that a clear sign that something is wrong over there? You're being judged based on how your staff treats paying customers.. with kids. You don't take criticism well and keep editing...

I've never felt so uncomfortable, disappointed, or ostracized in my life. When we walked in no one greeted us and every single person turned to stare at us. It should have been our hint to leave then. We then sat and were brought a single page menu in English. There were only a few choices and every single item only came with French fries. We were profiled. The locals (who the waiter or owner sat with and took smoke breaks with) blatantly stared and pointed at us the entire time. I ordered the fish and I think they battered some bait fish and fried it with the fries. It cost us an outrageous amount for what we received.
