We might have been unlucky, but our experience did not match the expectations based on the reviews. We were there on a sunny day at lunch time, the place was quite busy. While we got drinks right away, we waited more than a hour to be able to order food. We asked the waiters repeatedly but they kept telling us to wait. Strangely, they took order and served other guests that arrived after us. The staff looked overwhelmed, it did not seem they had service under control. After the 5th time asking, we were finally able to order and they were out of menus, which was really disappointing. We ordered sausages and fries. The sausages were a bit cold and seemed not very well cooked, but we mistakenly brushed it off, attributing to the staff struggling and did not send it back. Great atmosphere Cosy and unique place with ease of access (follow the signs not google maps - as it lead us to the other side of the rail way) Friendly people with big smiles~ If it is cold and rainy/snowy, book your table to secure a place, as tables are limited (while people are constantly coming in).

The Fondue was freshly made with sooooooo much flavour. No doubt it is the best Fondue we have ever had! The owner also accommodated our needs for some meat, which prooved not necessary, as the fondue was so yummy, and tasty. We were also given some strong cherry liquor to dip the break with, which was a boost of flavor.

We hiked down from Rigi Kulm. Looked around for a place to eat. Found this one on Google Map. Looked for the signs and found it tucked away up a short hill out of sight from the main tourist areas. We asked for a menu. Nope, the server just explained the 4 menu items available. We picked “beef”. He said, you prepare at your table to your preference. Herb butter and French fries.” That sounded interesting and good so we went with it. Wow, was it amazing!! The best meal we’ve had in Switzerland yet. The view can’t be beat.
