Usually stay in Winterthur, but we decided to stay outside town on this occasion. We stayed in the apartments behind, where the rooms are clean, with modern bathrooms and thick duvets provided. I slept fairly well, though I am quite tall so overhung the bed slightly. Stayed here a couple of times and for me it is one of the best places to stay over night in Weinfelden. Gasthof Eisenbahn has 3 stars, but it looks and feels like more. Rooms are very nice and clean, and personnel is very professional and friendly. Food is exceptional, which makes sense as the restaurant is part of the GILDE Gourmet Guide. Breakfast is included and is served in the form of a small buffet, again, just what you would expect from a three star hotel.
