We have tried every Indian place in Zug and they have all been terrible quality. I am so happy that we have finally found authentic and incredible tasting Indian. As you can see from the photo, for the first time an Indian place has used real chicken breast and not some mass produced stuff. (Not sure if it’s Swiss though). However there are some things to note:

The service I received was very poor. When picking up my food, it was clear that I was an inconvenience to the lady at the counter. She didn’t say hello, she just asked what I wanted.

I saw that people dining-in got Papadams when ordering and as they were sitting at the counter, I asked if it would be ok to get a few. I got a dirty look (of are you serious?) and the lady grabbed a hand full with her bare hands (which she had just used on the register and garbage bin) and threw them in a plastic bag. I joked and said they are the best part of Indian and she said ‘are you paying with card?’

For the price, the servings are tiny!! CHF 34.- for butter chicken in a tiny container no bigger than a small soup with 6 pieces of chicken! This should cost no more than CHF 22. Most other places you get a large container that lasts 2 days for that price.

The sizes for dining-in looked much bigger and cost the same. With that Take-away should be the same size and cheaper since there is no restaurant overhead.

Attached showing a photo comparison with a jar of capers.

It would be great to get a lower ‘without rice’ price

I LOVED how the food came in paper containers and not plastic! Finally someone doing the right thing, it also tastes better!

The mango lassi was incredible

Absolutely loved the butter chicken, but just for those who don’t like spice, just be aware that it has a kick to it, not bad but just a little.

So overall, beautiful Indian, authentic, the best I have tasted for a long time but the service was very poor and the sizes left us hungry especially after paying 90.- for 2 curries, Naan and...

My family and I went for dinner here and we were all delighted with the meal. The whole way home everyone was excitedly talking about what we ate, including my two youngest sons who are more used to less spicy dishes but ate everything with pleasure.

Without question, the best Indian food I have ever eaten, including during my years living in Charlotte Street in central London.

The flavours were so well done, nothing overwhelming and every spice earned its place in each dish. The ingredients were also very high quality - there was a real sense of pride in what was served.

In addition, the restaurant is a family affair and they were lovely hosts. Attentive, kind, accommodating.

Between 6 of us we shared samosas, chicken kebabs to start, all served with lovely side dips. For mains we plumped for the butter chicken with garlic naans. Simply fantastic.

I note that there are complaints about the amount of food served in older reviews. I am stunned by this. We are a big family and I am a large man; every single one of us was fed to the brim despite diving 3 of each dish between two. I might have found room for a sorbet, but I’d have been pushing it. When every bite is this good nothing goes to waste either.

I will admit that the meal was more expensive that I can usually afford with a large family, but only marginally so, and it was worth every cent. Given the quality of ingredients and excellence of the meal, I absolutely think you get what you pay for here - perhaps better.

Honestly, it was simply incredibly good food served with grace and genuine hospitality and on that basis,...

Finally I have discovered this place although I live and work nearby. I have to agree with the evaluations saying that this is the best Indian food in Switzerland. Great service too, very friendly! We shared a starter and continued with the crispy cauliflower, tandoori chicken, rice and Naan bread - all very delicious with heavenly sauces - just an explosion of tastes of India! Unfortunatelly we did not stay long as there was an extremely noisy British expats group next to us but we will come again...

Update 3 weeks later: this time we came earlier and it was very quiet. We shared 3 meals and all of them were delicious!

Another update: this time we had the small knödels/dumplings and they were just divine!

Another update 1st September: the food was even better than the last time!

Another update 7th November: the fish curry is my new favorite,...
