Ayverdi's Affoltern — Restaurant in Zurich

Ayverdis has been making waves and groing like a storm. Its concept: Gourmet Kebabs. Expect to pay a premium compared to "normal" kebabs (which run 10-12chf). For prices between 15-20chf you get a kebab with additional stuffings like fried eggs, melted specialty cheese. Ayverdis Oerlikon is one of the latest to have been added to the chain and the interior styiling reflects a sign of the times young and hip styling. This place gets busy during dinner times so expect a wait. The wait system is functional and you get a number with ready orders displayed on large tv screens througout the premises. Screen appear as though they are only displaing advertising but numbers are presented on them as well so dont panic! The food is tasty but I have had the occasional luke warm kebab. Falafel taste fresh and authentic and all other ingredients seem to be fresh and in order as well. They have a selection of home made ice teas sold in half litre bottles and available in three different flavors. The owner is proud of his achievements and deservedly so: he has built up a solid reputation and a chain of quality establishments. However when I was there there was a huge oversized picture of himself on the wall, almost going toward a perceived cult of personality, which was a bit overkill for my liking. Nevertheless, this is a good place to go for that good quality fast food kebab with an edge. Casual dining...

So, I've been to this place many times and always happy, however after a year break I went in today and it's not the same place unfortunately. Food is still good, but the service people became very unfriendly. I didn't feel welcome, they just want money and go away attitude. Especially the female staff didn't smile once, others were busy with other stuff, so I don't know about them. One of them didn't even look in our eyes when we were ordering. Par of service is to be kind, friendly, and welcoming. This was like going to Mcdonalds. People who don't believe in smiling to be polite and keep a positive atmosphere shouldn't work with people anywhere. Very disappointed in the choice of staff. I will change my review if I see an improvement. Smiling and polite kind attitude is easy!

Also, I wish that there was some information on nutrition such as calories, carbs, sugars, protein, fiber... Low carb and no sugar options...

We had such a great experience at Ayverdi in Affoltern! Right from the start, the staff made us feel super welcome. Everyone was really professional, helpful, and just genuinely nice.

The vibe in the restaurant is awesome – modern, chill, and really well thought out. You can tell they care about creating a place where people feel good.

And the food… wow! Everything was delicious You can really taste the quality in every bite.

Huge shoutout to Izi – he made a very strong impression on us. Super friendly, professional, and just a really great energy. Thanks again to him and the whole team – you guys are doing an amazing job!
