Let’s start with the food shall we? Since majority of the people reading reviews at a restaurant are looking at how the food is.

To start off, the food was honestly nothing special, the fried rice was extremely salty, hotpot was bland.

It’s an old school restaurant with the bathroom being semi outside smelling like an open sewer system.

Cute old dogs that the restaurant owner owns, and that roam around. There was one waitress where she had her hair down and all over the place, long enough to be touching the food she was serving, at one point she was petting the store dog, carried it downstairs to where I’m assuming the office was. It’s disgusting to see dog hair on a waitress’s shirt who is serving your food, on top of that her long hair that she never tied up. I’m an animal lover but keep them out of places people are eating at.

To wrap the whole experience up, the bamboo chopsticks they had (that I prefer to use over metal ones because who knows how clean they keep their reusable chopsticks) had mold on them!! Not just one pair! But TWO. After I saw the mold on the second pair I gave up on their quality of chopsticks and just used their metal ones. I’d strongly suggest anyone thinking about eating...

  • There is a food court there so do check it out before you decide to get slaughtered in any of the restaurants.*

  • We went to your restaurant so STOP DEFLECTING or play dumb by replying "those who have left you negative feedbackS might have gone to a different restaurant"! *

There was only 2 of us and we ordered:

Fried Rice Beef with capsicum Ma Po Tou Fu Mushroom Soup 2 Hot Teas

We were asked if we wanna order some white rice when we have alr ordered a plate of Fried Rice.

Also, we were presented with 2 POTS of teas but they are not willing to cancel one stating that it already been prepared.

They even said their teas comes in pots and that all the menus had alr been printed out when we pointed out there is no indication if the teas comes in a glass or pot.

We even told her we felt cheated and that they could have pasted a sticker beside the item to indicate = no excuses = not interested = we regretted dining there = not going back there = prompt the world from falling prey with these tactics of theirs!

Don't...

If you are a bit chilly, in winter there's a small fire pit to warm yourself at whole you wait for your table. This shop is collaborating with different hotels around the area, which gives you a 10% discount for the total cost. An issue I found was the more hiked prices at this restaurant, and the food itself did not convince me it was worth it without the discount (even with it, the price is much higher than most restaurants around). This was a meal for 6 people, which costs around 3.5k. The meats tasted fine but were slightly tough. The wasabi with the tofu was very good, probably the best dish, since it's grown in alishan. I'm sure in the spring and summer it's even fresher. Vegetables were fine, good fresh garlic taste. The goode blood was tender and paired well with the hot pot soup. The hot pot was substantive. Overall, the price and quality of the meat dishes makes me think I will not be coming back without the discount, but if you are interested in Alishan wasabi please feel...

We ordered the set that comes with 3 dishes (bamboo shoots, mushrooms, and stir fried beef) plus a hot pot—all for NT$800 and it was definitely more than enough for two to share. We liked the mushroom and beef but not so much the bamboo shoots (it’s up to your personal preference though, we just don’t like bamboo shoots in general). The hot pot contained a few slices of pork, some taro balls, dumplings, cabbage, spinach, tofu, and some other pretty common hot pot ingredients. It wasn’t groundbreaking but it wasn’t bad either. Eating hot pot in the cold weather felt really good, and just what we needed after a day of walking around the Alishan forest!
