No vegetarian options...
We visited Route 3 with a group of 15-20 people, including kids, expecting a great American-style meal. However, our experience was nothing short of a disaster.
Poor Service & Messed-Up Orders • The waitress was rude, impolite, and seemed irritated for no reason. • Orders were completely mixed up across our three tables, and it took forever to figure out who got what. • Burgers took way too long to arrive, and by the time they did, we were already regretting our decision.
Disappointing Food Quality • The burgers were bland and lacked basic ingredients • Instead of french fries, we got hard tortilla chips with salsa, which were so tough that they hurt the mouth. • Shakes were not actually shakes—just watery smoothies with lots of ice and no creamy texture. • Drinks were mandatory, overpriced, and nothing special.
Overpriced & Hidden Costs • We ended up paying way more than expected for below-average food. • Parking fee was 300, out of which only 200 could be used for food—still, it felt like an unnecessary extra charge. • Everything on the menu was overpriced and not worth the money.
Overall Experience – Never Again! • The atmosphere was unpleasant, and the staff made no effort to be accommodating. • The restaurant looks great in pictures, but the reality is completely different. • We regret coming here and will never return. • Instead, go to a local Chinese restaurant—you’ll get better food, better service, and save money!
Final Verdict: DO NOT RECOMMEND! • Food: ⭐ (1/5) – Bland, lacking basics, weird menu choices. • Service: ⭐ (1/5) – Rude and unorganized staff. • Price: ⭐ (1/5) – Overpriced, hidden costs, and forced add-ons. • Ambience: ⭐ (1/5) – Looked nice but didn’t match expectations. • Overall: ⭐ (1/5) – Worst dining experience in a long time!

Read moreDisappointing Experience I recently had the misfortune of dining at Router's American Restaurant, and I must say, it was one of the worst experiences I've encountered in Taiwan.
Rude Service From the moment we walked in, the service was subpar. Our waitress, who wore large circular glasses, was incredibly rude. Her dismissive attitude made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable throughout our meal.
Unappetizing Food To make matters worse, the food was nothing short of pathetic. Each main course was disappointing, lacking flavor and freshness. It’s hard to believe that a restaurant would serve such low-quality dishes.
One of the most frustrating aspects of our visit was the complete absence of vegetarian options on the menu. I ordered fish burger without fish. In short I just had bread and salad that too without cheese.
Compulsory Drinks and Parking Fees
Adding to the frustration, we were informed that a drink was compulsory with every main course. This felt more like a money grab than a genuine dining experience. On top of that, we had to pay a parking fee of 300 NTD for our car, which seemed excessive for such a lackluster experience.
Conclusion Overall, I cannot recommend Router's American Restaurant. The combination of rude service, poor food quality, mandatory drinks, and high parking fees made for a thoroughly disappointing outing. Save your time and money—there are far better dining options available!
Better to enjoy Taiwan delicacy at local...
Read moreThe ambiance is pleasant, and the location is well-maintained and clean. However, the wait for our meal was excessively long. The waiter initially mentioned a 20-minute wait, but we ended up waiting for over an hour. I’m unsure if our order was overlooked, as many other guests received their meals before us. While the prices are on the higher side, the food quality was quite ordinary.
During Chinese New Year, there was an additional charge of 300 NTS for parking, with 200 NTS adjusted on the food bill. We were also required to purchase a compulsory drink for everyone, with no exceptions even for kids. Overall, the experience was disappointing, both in terms of food...
