Didn’t like their attitude. It’s a popular place, if you can’t handle that much people than maybe you shouldn’t be in the service industry.
Food is well made, nothing spectacular but well made. For example the fried chicken tapas, the chicken was crispy and juicy but the flavor wasn’t memorable. The chicken roll with mushroom, the chicken breast was tender and the crumbs on the outside was thin and crispy. The inside tasted like mushroom soup. So that was good but a bit expensive. Dragonfruit smoothie, more like ice slushy, was really good.
Seating was poor designed bc in the afternoon the table was 3/4 under the sun and taitung sun is HOT. We weren’t the only one cornering in the little shade we had at our table.
I wouldn’t go again bc of the poor service. Food was good but like I said nothing spectacular that I would want to suffer poor attitude and the sun to eat. If you only go their for drinks and desserts you can find a table on the other side of the large lawn near their pool, where there is shade. If you want to sit down for a meal, you have to sit near the kitchen which means you hopefully get a seat “inside” where there is shade or you’ll have to suffer under the sun.
I had been wanting to come here for awhile and before we even sat down we were taken aback with the...
Read moreGORGEOUS LOCATION with good food. We traveled to Dulan Cape Cafe with a group of 5 with a reservation. Upon arrival, we had a choice between outdoor or indoor seating. Given the weather was a bit rainy, we opted for indoor seating. This was only possible because the place was not crowded. The size of their parking lot suggests they regularly host much larger crowds. Their menu is Spanish-inspired with mostly seafood options. It's not a large menu so I'd suggest previewing it to make sure there are adequate options for you and your group. We ordered a set menu for 4 people and added a few extra dishes to supplement. The seafood paella is a must have, patatas bravas was also delicious. The blueberry & banana milkshake was delightful, too! Unfortunately, the carrot soup was bland and watery. The waiting staff was friendly and attentive, even helping us change to a table with a better view. The swimming pool was being renovated at the time of our visit but it seemed like a good set-up near the ocean view. One particular problem, especially on a rainy day, was the distance between the restaurant itself and the restrooms. There was no covered pathway to the restroom, so you had to walk across a grass field to the restrooms. Otherwise, you should definitely try...
Read moreThe food: The Seafood Paella was absolutely delicious. I think it is one of the best I have had in Taiwan. Our whole extended family (13 people) went to the restaurant and pre-ordered several dishes. The Seafood Paellia was the definitely the favorite for our whole family (we ate 3 pans of the seafood paella and finished them)
The service: It's a small outdoor restaurant...even though we pre-ordered, they seemed over-whelmed by our order. We were actually getting up to help them serve and figure out who's food went to which person.
The atmosphere: It's outdoor on picnic benches...fortunately we arrive there early and got the seats under the shaded area. About 1 hour into lunch we noticed they were setting up the umbrellas for other customers because it was so hot. We had fans but it's just extremely hot there and you will be sweating.
Conclusion: Would I go there again ? Absolutely !!! :). The seafood paella...
