If you are going from Taipei, take the Gemalan bus from the Taipei Bus Station and the journey takes an hour. The bus service terminates at a convenience store near the Luodong Station. From there, the owner will bring you to the Homestay which is about 10 min away. ||The Homestay is located right next to a paddy field with lots of small farmland within sight from the balcony of our room on the second storey. The Homestay is run by 廖小姐 and her parents, all of whom are most helpful and friendly. Feel free to ask for directions to the various places of interest such as the Luodong night market. 廖小姐 will give you very precise directions wherever you wish to go. ||As we had to catch an early morning bus to our next destination, her father woke up as early as 4am to whip up a delicious and colorful organic breakfast for us at 6am. The freshly baked bread and tasty pumpkin soup perked us up for the day. The organic soy milk freshly made that morning was most unforgettable! To make sure that we caught our bus, he not only sent us to the bus stop nearby but waited with us until we boarded the bus and gave precise instructions to the bus driver regarding our destination. ||If you are looking for a clean and peaceful abode in Yilan with a chance to interact with the local community and savor Taiwanese home cooked food, this is the...

Gary (brother of Ms Liao) even helped us to on the aircon half an hr before we reached (I msged them thru Line). |The surroundings were rice paddy fields which made it a peaceful getaway from the city. |We all slept well and woke up to the highlight of the stay which is their homemade breakfast. There were homemade bread (3 diff types) with pumpkin soup (another choice was corn soup) and other small dishes like almonds, kiwis, beans (organically grown by their neighbour). Good coffee and low sugar organic homemade soya milk available too. |Ms Liao and Gary (and their family) were very friendly and helpful. We would have love to chat with them further if we were not so tired after a red eye flight and had to leave early the next day. Thank you for the wonderful...
