永真麵館（原川字號重慶小麵） — Restaurant in Kaohsiung

This place does a small number of dishes very very well. In my search for the perfect Sichuan noodles in Kaohsiung, this is right up there with my favourites. I recommended going for the triple spicy broth — it wasn’t overwhelming and I loved the blend of spices, Sichuan peppercorns, cilantro and tender beef. I’ll be going back ASAP to try the chicken soup! Mmmm makes me want to go to Sichuan...

Amazing little spicy noodle shop. Only four bowl options, basic, chicken, stewed beef, and beef slices. You can get either spicy or mild. The spicy is genuinely spicy, but not insane. It is very flavorful and delicious. Definitely worth checking out if you want to try more Sichuan-style noodles.

There are some cold dishes but not many, I recommend the garlic...

Saw a video recommending this place on YouTube. These noodles are the real deal and worth travelling to get to. There also sell the sauces to take home! I got the Taiwanese level of spice, it really hit the spot with just enough heat to be enjoyable without a lingering effect. Definitely a must try when...
