IKEA瑞典餐廳 高雄店 — Restaurant in Kaohsiung

This Ikea's overall appearance and cleanliness is decent, relatively clean but with some aspects fairly dated.

I was disappointed with the fact that the store did not stock everything, and the item we wanted had to be transferred from the main warehouse (which takes about 3 days), or have it shipped directly to your home. Neither option was good for me since shipping costs me 3500NT, and a trip to this IKEA, the closest one to me, takes 3.5 hours (that's 7 hrs round trip). This is not a well publicized fact and it's very inconvenient to find out afterwards.

While the sales/service staff is mostly friendly and competent, there are always a few individuals who just doesn't have the right attitude to be working here. Today, especially, was the cashier for the cafe/restaurant area. She was the lone cashier, and I was just simply buying a drink, but her demeanor and attitude tells me she's really impatient and even to the point of disgust towards me. Now I've done nothing except trying to pay for a drink. I don't think I, nor anyone else for that matter, deserves that kind of treatment. Maybe it's just that I'm in the Kaohsiung Ikea and the standard is different ? I don't know, but certainly this Ikea...

Ikea is always a great place to get home appliances and food. But my best experience is the 10 NTD Ice cream 🍦. They are a must to go and try them out. I remember before they used to just accept 10 NTD coins and you can buy them directly from the machine. But now we have to get tokens from the food cashier's. It's a little bothersome but I don't mind as it was a long time I haven't tried their ice cream. But for the new customer, they would feel like it's too much of a burden to get the token and get in line again just to get ice cream. Other new changes was the layout and items. I was able to look at some room chairs, tables, curtains, and beds. But ended up buying a small and big black bowl. There is really so many things to look at and the time will go by quickly. So if your looking to spend some time and look around. Ikea is the best. But if you want trendy new home appliances, I believe Ikea can also help you with those ideas or even make you buy something that you wouldn't even think you would need until you see it. Highly recommend to go and shop...

One of the rare places in kaohsiung with full-blast aircond blowing and spacious seating with a bright washroom.

Food wise, it was not as tasty as I imagined, and probably need some fine-tuning as I felt like something was missing in the many dishes I had.
