4 ladies went for dinner here in Putien Kaohsiung. Decor and ambience is great, same as the branch in Taichung. Service 👍too.
Went on a weekday for dinner at 6pm. Not crowded at all and they didn’t make unnecessary fuss about having a reservation or not.
Restaurant is big. Dining spaces are sectioned off for noise reduction and privacy and private rooms also available for parties 6 and above.
Since we knew what not to order, we stuck to the tried and tested Seafood Lor Mien, Crispy seaweed oysters, seasonal vegetables (this time was was spinach) and tried their much vaunted pork with lychee. These dishes were just right in quantity to satisfy our appetite.
The noodles were as tasty as the one we had in Taichung. 1 order is definitely enough for 4 (8 small bowls) and so perfect for with some other orders. The crispy seawood oysters complement this very well and the seasonal cooked in their inimitable sauce very satisfying for those craving vegetables. The pork with lychee is a dry version of sweet sour pork with the added twist of canned lychees. Will definitely be back for chili and black pepper crabs.
Choice of hot oolong or green tea is complimentary and the total bill coming up to less than $400/person very reasonable.
Will definitely be back. Wheelchair friendly including toilets. Parking lot a block away.
Menu same as Taichung. See my Taichung Putien review for menu and...
Read moreA beautiful and elegant restaurant, this place lives up to its Micheline star reputation. We loved the chili pepper prawn, amazing taste. The chili pepper crab is another exceptional dish, sauce full of crab meat. The garlic fried chicken, steamed fish were some of the other highlights. The fruit and line juices are also well made.
Food is served pretty quickly, service is top notch. Price is on the higher side, but makes up for an incredible...
Read more[ENG] Went for the second time during Chinese New Year Holiday (2/5), as I recommended my family because the first time I went there I had a pretty pleasant experience. Service-wise no complaints, I would say out of all the Wang Pin Group Restaurants I’ve tried, they had a pretty solid service. The food was great, nothing was particularly terrible. I do highly recommend their hot sauce for those who like spice with their food, and you can even buy it at the counter. Another different one was the hot sauce that came with the Hainanese Chicken that tastes like Peruvian Rocoto, but that wasn’t up for sale, unfortunately. Granted, their menu isn’t that extensive so out of the two times I’ve dined there I’ve almost tried everything. Beware that the portions are relatively small to medium size, so you might end up with a hefty check. Overall, I find the food, the service and environment enjoyable, but whether it’s worth a Michelin Star it’s up for debate. Either way, must give it a try.
[CHN] 過年初五推薦家人去,也是我去吃第二次。對我來說跟我有吃過的其他王品集團餐廳比起來服務相對來說比較好,可能是因為有一顆米其林星(?)...
