A lively spot for northern Chinese food in Kaohsiung that even made it into the Michelin Guide. It’s always popular, often packed late into the night. Through the big front windows you can watch the kitchen in action, with food being freshly prepared nonstop.
The corn soup is the best I’ve had in Taiwan — unlike the usual powder-based versions, this one feels rich and homemade. Don’t miss the beef roll with crispy layers and hoisin sauce — absolutely delicious. Dumplings and pretty much everything else here are also great.

There was quite a queue when I got there but I didn't have to wait for much more than 5 minutes. I ordered a soup, dumplings and a roll. Service was quick, very friendly, place is clean, food is good - will definitely...

The beef was sliced very thinly and I could hardly taste it. All I could taste was the thick pancake.
The atmosphere reminds me of the olden days HK 茶楼. Overall, I felt that the side dishes were better than the mains.
Not worth the...
