Jintai Japanese Cuisine-Neihu Branch — Restaurant in Neihu District

A well-known place mainly for its donburi (among other dishes). Although the place is often quite busy, service is very fast — and hence turnover great. If you're visiting for dinner, the street-side parking spaces around are free.

Their seafood stock is very fresh, and the portion generous. It is a bit unusual in using warm unflavored rice.

Extra point for service (I'd give 4.5): no vegetarian menu, but waitress was quick to suggest ordering bowl of rice and natto — make your own natto don. That worked great.

Reasonable prices with the fresh seafood is probably why they're packing the place all the time....

Sashimi was fresh and awesome! The famous one was 無敵海鮮丼 but I ordered 生魚丼飯 which was full of raw fish and provided one raw egg yolk. Big portion for female. One donburi including Taiwanese Miso soup(many meats inside), donburi (hot rice) and free hot tea. Cause the restaurant is popular, you need to wait at least 30min but it's worth it! Cash only....

For sushi rice bowls I've eaten around Taipei, this is one of the top on my list. The price is expensive but you're still getting more from what you paid for
