20 years since an enterprising young buck went from Taiwan to Bavaria to learn brewing from the arguably best (though i feel nowadays craft brewing is nearly everywhere & the secret is out)

20 years in Neihu (& now expanded to 2 more) -- serving up family dinners & post-work cheers

i asked why Thai to couple with beers & the simple, easy answer was the owner enjoys the cuisine & the customers have replied in kind as when they experimented with Italian at a new location -- people preferred Thai with their beers

got the vermicelli (cause not too hungry) & the crispy pork & Chinese broccoli cause could not resist

both came seasoned more lightly Thai than per Thailand but it was a welcomed medium of Thai & Taiwanese expectations that make the dishes more palatable & went well with brews (all 6 & all note-hitting & distinct -- get the beer flight -- no doubt)

families & work groups filing out at end of a late leisurely lunch

staff warmly chatting as folk exit & folk saying they'll return soon for this occasion or work event

I used to like this place, but not anymore. The most important thing to me is customer service and it was terrible. Servers should come to ask you if you are ready to order. Nobody did that or checked on us the entire time we were there.

The waiter brought my friend the wrong dish (she is Taiwanese and spoke Chinese AND she pointed at the menu). Despite this, he still brought green curry instead of the red that she ordered.

People make mistakes, so we just told him it was okay and she was fine with eating the green curry. But then, MY curry never came out. My friend had almost finished hers at this point. We looked at the receipt and noticed it wasn't even on there. We flagged down the waiter again to let him know. He said he would fix it, and while he wasn't rude he didn't really seem very apologetic either considering it was already his second error.

My friend has totally finished her curry now and I am still waiting for mine to arrive. We flag the waiter down again to let him know that we have to get back to work soon, so we need the food. He says he will tell the cook to rush it. Since, it was his mistake, I feel he should already have done that in the first place. Food comes, I don't even have time to finish it. I won't...

I love the food here! The papaya salad and green beef curry are both fantastic. I honestly haven't tried anything I didn't like on their menu. Gets busy on the weekends, reservations recommended. Staff can be a bit unbending, we wanted to order a couple virginity cocktails and they said they couldn't do it because they wouldn't know how to charge for it. We suggested they just charge the normal price and leave the alcohol out (more money for them) and they said they couldn't do it because it wasn't on the menu.
