巢穴 The Lair — Restaurant in New Taipei

Good time, pet-friendly, good service and comfortable atmosphere.

It is nice to see the owners’ attempt on renovating a historical building, but with just enough renovation to preserve the original characteristics of the building.

The afternoon tea session we’ve had today was full of surprises, the good kinds. From the furniture to the botanical portion of the location, all the way to the building itself - all have either historical significance or certain amount of trivial facts...

A hidden Taipei gem. Had a wonderful evening of conversations, poetry, and music with new found bohemian friends. The hosts are a lovely couple and are so very generous with their hospitality. Had a delicious vegetarian meal made from scratch by the hosts(they offer non vegetarian dinners too). The Lair is an entrepreneurial endeavor to create a community of like-minded individuals who believe in "Community". Will visit...

I had the pleasure of spending a lovely evening at the lair this weekend. Ai, Keiren, and Barney were fantastic hosts and really do make you feel welcome. It's a unique experience where you share stories and interests with others whilst at the same time enjoying a delicious meal prepare by Keiren.
