大老二石窯雞 — Restaurant in New Taipei

Distance your typical Taiwanese restaurant that cater to large number of people per table. This place is famous for their smoke chicken, which I found that their chicken it's overly cooked so even with the dark meat it tastes a bit dry. Because they're so busy that day only bring the food out to you and everything else like the utensils the rice the drinks and so on is you have to get it yourself. Rest of their food arm just your typical Taiwanese food and taste are just average nothing to rave about. But I have to say for a set menu that cater to 10 people, The portion size are a lot and most table cannot finish all of them so you could see everyone taking few doggy bags home.

The only good thing in that restaurant is their chicken. Oyster soup has been soured up with vinegar and it’s just nasty. The fake crab salad is covered with absolutely disgusting sweet mayonnaise. It’s just a shame how one place can offer such awful dishes. And they aren’t cheap. This nasty oyster soup was 190. You can get so much better soup from most places for as little as 130 or 150. Very disappointing...
