217 Café — Restaurant in New Taipei

Both owners (the man and the cat) were very friendly! The cat has a place on the counter where she/he sits like a boss, I felt kinda like in a video game or anime 😆

Both pizzas were great, the matcha cheesecake was also good and nice decorated. They had good coffee, too. And for those who like beer on a hot day, they also have beer (I don't think it was on the menu, so just ask).

They also have small counter with souvenirs/postcards/stationary. They have stamp (on the souvenir counter) and the owner saw me stamping and gave me the cafe sticker ♡

I really like how they decorated the interior, very cute. They also put up the customers note/drawings. So I also draw something, hope they put up mine too. They have pencils/stationary on the counter right below the stairs, I saw it because we saw right under the stairs.

The owner was so kind, he gave me a Houtong map postcard, thank you 💖

If I go to Taiwan again, I will visit this...

🐈 Xiao Tang Bao 🐈 was so cute. I love the way he meows lovingly towards his owner, but meows differently towards us 😂 It was so cute!! The owner of the cafe was a friendly old uncle who shared with us a few stories of the cats, the cafe, and the village while we dined in the cafe - really enjoyed chatting with him. The utensils and the plates were also really cute.

Located on the higher corner end of Houtong, the cafe sells drinks and some light snacks at affordable pricing. Got ourselves a 6” pizza, hot matcha latte and ice blended fruit juice, which were all prepared with such effort.

One of the friendliest staff and service I’ve ever encountered both locally and abroad. That itself deserves 5 stars. The cafe is kept extremely neat and tidy, with an amazingly clean toilet as well.
