My laptop and I visit a lot of cafes. As an author, I’m always looking for good places not only to eat and drink but to sit and write for hours. As a teacher, I believe in scoring according to various criteria. With that in mind, these are my opinions about this one.
Food: ** I had the chicken caesar salad. It was okay, but the croutons weren’t fresh. (They had no crunch.) Also, the salad was a bit small for the price. If you want a full meal, I recommend getting something else with it. Drinks: ** I had the honey lemon juice. Again, it wasn’t bad, but it didn’t really stand out as awesome. Prices: * Everything was a bit expensive. Variety of Menu Options Available: * There’s lots of pasta, plus pizza, some salads, boiled veggies, and soup. Also, sundaes for dessert. Variety of Non-Coffee Drink Options: * There is soda, tea, alcohol, and some juice. English Menu? Yes, mostly. The names of the items are in English, but the descriptions are in Chinese. Wi-Fi/Charging Ports Available? No Wi-Fi! This was really frustrating, since I was out of data on my phone and so couldn’t use my hot spot. The work I’d been planning to do there required internet access. Needless to say, there are no charging ports, either, though there are a couple of outlets if you chose your table strategically. Pleasant Environment/Comfortable to Write In: * I enjoyed the pleasant instrumental background music. However, it was VERY warm in there. That part was not so pleasant on this hot September day. Also, the table was a little too high to comfortably type at. Customer Service: ** Hours: 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.; 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. daily What was the Restroom Like? Clean and cute. Additional Comments: Between the warm temperature, no Wi-Fi, and not being open for most of the afternoon, this was not an ideal place to park myself to work. I might go back for a meal sometime (especially in a few months when it’s not so hot), but I probably won’t go there with my...
Read moreBougie Garden is a simple, unpretentious pasta and risotto place with a few Mexican-style dishes. I enjoy their tasty pasta and risotto dishes. Their risotto is not just twice-baked rice with some cheese baked on top which some local restaurants call "risotto"; these are the genuine article - creamy and flavorful. Prices seem reasonable in a post-Covid economy. Some of their soups could use an upgrade: the creamed corn is okay, but the strong rosemary used in the vegetable soup is overpowering; I wouldn't order that again. The service is great. The servers are friendly and attentive without hovering. A good...

Pros: Excellent food ingredients -I can feel it in the spaghetti and sauces of my spaghetti bolognese. The sauce is absolutely not just bought from wholesaler but cook with real ingredients like tomato sauce and tomato .
Large portion - you can refer to my picture. Even delivery is so large in portion and quite heavy.
Tasty - you can see my baked rice in carbonara sauce.
Cons: The creamy soup - it’s bit strange that it’s sweet. The owner please improve the...
