Walked past this place so many times, always seeing a line, so I finally gave in and tried it out one evening around 6pm. Luckily, no line—went straight in.
The highlight? Definitely the thick-cut pork katsu. Crispy golden coating, not greasy, and the inside? Juicy, not dry at all. It’s that rare kind of thick but tender, where the meat still holds a little bounce and bite, but feels like it’s been treated with care. The radish pickles on the side were light and refreshing—cleansed the palate in all the right ways.
What really surprised me, though, was the cheese-stuffed menchi katsu. I expected it to be heavy, but it wasn’t—just soft, juicy pork with a center of gooey, stretchy cheese that felt almost indulgent. Every bite was a little celebration.
