The self-borrow machines (as well as the self-return ones) however are pretty useless, the machine barely can find the barcode (if it can at all), while the borrowed books still can trigger the RFID anti-theft gates, so you still have to go back to the manned counters. The library catalog is incredibly slow on certain computers even though it's using intranet only. The number of desks with AC plugs are relatively low, and careless people reading newspaper only still occupy them even though there are plenty of other desks too. Read moreOne thing I would love to see improvement on is that many people would take up the space by leaving their backpack, personal stuff and leave the seat for hours. This is a problem that should be improved. Please please please tackle this social problem.
The facilities are okay. A bit outdated on some floors, some sections are designed a bit nicer.
