飛餅印度料理大坑 hillpark — Restaurant in Taichung

Recently ate here and had a chicken karahi and palak paneer. The decor of this place is very nice, but it's very small. The chicken was not the best quality and both of the curries' sauces were thin and watery and they were quite bland, lacking flavor and any spice. The butter naan was dry and didn't look like it had any butter on it. The masala tea though, was excellent, one of the nicest I've had. Service was OK. Simply took orders then brought food, but it was close to closing time. Overall, OK food and experience but I doubt I'll be back, it's a bit out of the way and Chilies is much, much better.

P.S. Oh and they don't serve beer here, which is a bit of a shame, always nice to have a kingfisher with a curry.

P.P.S. All the curries come with rice, which is not very authentic, is very unusual (first Indian restaurant I've ever been to that does this) and is not pointed out to you, so we ended up with naan and rice (which I didn't want) and...

Updated post: These guys have really stepped up their game! The food here is amazing and the hard work that they have done to make this a great place to eat really shows. The staff is always very helpful and efficient. Of all of the Indian restaurants we've been to in Taichung, this one may be the best. Great job guys!

The food is ok, average indian food.. The environment is clean and well decorated.. However, the service is downright awful.. The couple of girls just wanted to chat with each other.. When i asked a simple question the waitress became impatient and gave me nasty attitude like why I'm asking her questions and wasting her valuable time.. It's really pathetic that a seemingly nice restaurant like this put so little thought in hiring decent workers.. Avoid this place due to the terrible service... Gave 3 stars for the environment and...
