Extremely disappointing experience, never coming back; highly recommend against eating here, inauthentic food and terrible service that doesn’t care about customer satisfaction at all.
Biggest disappointment was their Cantonese Fried Noodles. There was a very distinct and pungent fishy smell and taste; in a dish that only had two pieces of fried fish, this was definitely out of the ordinary. The smell was that of raw fish steaming, most likely for a Black Bean Steamed Fish dish, but the kitchen neglected to clean up after the previous dish was cooked.
I gave their staff feedback about the odor, only to have the waiter come back and say “the kitchen said that the odor is normal because there’s fish in the dish”. Whose eyes do you think you’re trying to pull wool over?! Two pieces of fried fish do NOT give off that strong a smell of RAW FISH!!
Next is the stir fried radish cakes; extremely greasy with barely any fragrance, not to mention very roughly stir fried with the radish cake pieces missing corners, even some falling apart.
Then we have “crispy” pork belly that felt more like biting into hard pieces of plastic. There’s a clear difference between crispy and downright inedible; I would have had a better time biting on chopsticks.
Last but not least, fruit flies flying all around… I understand that traditional street food dim sum is just that, “street food”, but you’re a restaurant for crying out loud, at least make an effort to look the part.
Hope this review helps anyone considering going here avoid making the same mistakes I did, and if you do still plan on going, to adjust your expectations...
Read moreHas an extensive menu, but roughly half the things weren't available. There was no duck or Hainanese chicken rice set, and selections available didn't match the photographs in the menu.
Also this older woman (owner?) came by to take our order and left. Waitress came by to tell us that 2/3 of our order wasn't available or the woman-owner had completely left it out when putting our order in with the kitchen.
Seemed a bit incompetent for how they're trying to style themselves as a semi- high end restaurant.
A warning—it is EXTREMELY crowded. At 11:10 on the weekends, it's already completely filled to...
