Visited with great expectations due to reviews. However, just poor service turned this into worst dinner of our family trip. Just 3 of us, and waiter did not really explain menu was all large portions. I inquired about gua bao, which they are known for, and that I was concerned about portion size due to our party of 3. He said no problem, I can change the order to 3 (but price for each bun would be a bit more, fine) and if you can't finish, you can take home. Sounded great, extra points for accommodating our smaller party size, so I thought. What he didn't mention was that he could only changed order for buns to 3 (for about the same amount of money), and the humongous meat order for 8 buns would remain the same--would have been very helpful to be clear about this before we ordered. WTF are 3 obvious tourists going to do with all the leftovers?! Plus the huge portions of the other two dishes we ordered?! My mom, indignant, got up to complain, saying she would rather we get all 8 buns (given we weren't saving any money anyway). What an unnecessarily uncomfortable nightmare of a meal. Tried our best to not waste food. Were not offered anything to drink, and it seemed like cold water had to be purchased, so we just got up and picked out water bottle and juice from the fridge to help down our enormous meal.
