Wang Steak Taichung Wenxin Branch — Restaurant in Taichung

This is a mid-high price range, western style steakhouse chain in Taiwan.

The multi-course menu includes a non-alcoholic sparkling grape juice served upon seating, followed by freshly baked warm bread and butter, choice of salad, soup, plum juice palette cleanser, main course, dessert, and choice of beverage.

For the main course, we ordered the 1790 NT french lambchop with prawn and the 1990 NT black angus ribeye steak (12 oz). The lambchop was tender, flavored well, and delicious, but the portion size was relatively small (3 lambchops). It was served on a bed of mashed potatoes and gravy, which paired well with the meat. Despite the smaller portion size, this was definitely the highlight of the meal.

The ribeye steak (ordered to medium doneness) was served with roasted shallots, onions, and baby corn. The portion size was huge and quite difficult for one person to finish. Though the beef quality seemed excellent, it was not as tender or flavorful as we expected, and we would probably not order this again.

The ambiance and service of the restaurant were great. The courses were brought out at a very reasonable pace - there were no long waits between courses, but the pace did not seem rushed as well. Servers...

1:氣泡飲跟夏慕尼是一樣的甜香檳，希望能提高一點等級做出區別

4:這點比較見仁見智：太過無微不至且制式的服務精神，有點過頭了反而感覺不太能放鬆，甚至被打擾，像是這區的服務生給了我2次他的名片😅可能他忘了所以又給一次然後像npc 一樣重覆一次對話，還有突然有服務生跑來跟我說不好意思有東西掉在地上打擾您了，不是…你來打擾我我才知道你們有掉東西啦😂😂😂，我真的完全沒發現，還有另一個服務生每次送上餐具，冰沙都會先在身邊定格到你注意到他再放下然後再定隔5秒鞠躬：請慢用，可能這是sop...

Fantastic steak house with great service and a wonderful meal, offering great value for money! If anything should be mentioned, it would be that side dishes were served too early and lost temperature before the actual mains arrived, the fruit could have been more locally sourced and thereby more ripe, but overall a most wonderful meal from service to taste performance and environment. Would most definitely like to go there again!

Remember to stop and ask the staff about parking to get best possible close by...
