翠園越南餐廳 — Restaurant in Taipei

Bad experience. Called to reserve a table for 5 several days in advance. When we arrived there, they seemed never care about my reservation and gave me a table for 4. I told them that the reservation was for 5 people, they told me "they did not promise" to give me a table for 5. Huh?!? What's the reservation for?

And the food is far below average. I really don't know why there is no competitor around the neighborhood. Vietnamese food should be way...

As the saying goes “never judge a book by its cover”. Same goes for this restaurant, the decoration & interior looks old and dark. However, their food is amazing! I love their raw beef vermicelli! Soup is piping hot so u can “customize” the amount of how cook each person prefers the beef to be. It comes with a side of raw bean sprouts, lime wedge & mint leaf. Portion is huge! They changed chief recently…and everything changed. My mom have been here since young (almost 40 years from now), and she told me the curry has not potatoes now and the sauce is too strong no mention the vegetables are super salty she couldn’t even eat…she is very sad and disappointed that she won’t go back again…🥲🥲🥲 We hope the restaurant will notice and tell the chief to work better and find the original taste...
