Ling Dumpling — Restaurant in Taitung City

Preface: The outside says “dumplings” as in the boiled kind, but none. Also, some photos show fried rice, but none. Special menu for the Chinese New Year season.

Delicious, steamed dumplings with stir fried vegetables and small vegetable dishes and your choice of noodles. This may be the best Taiwan style food in Taidong. That been said, the prices are double than what they usually are elsewhere, but it’s okay since no other place is open during the holiday season.

I stayed at the Hoya hotel which is close by and this restaurant was within walking distance. I had the beef noodle soup and beef xiaolongbao. Both were excellent. The staff were very helpful and one of them spoke english. I made a mistake on my order sheet and the waitress pointed it out and made sure I ordered the correct item. There were many locals there so it appeared to be a very popular place. I can see why. ...
