Lantian is a neat little katsu restaurant tucked away in Taiting City that serves the most amazing Pork Katsu in Taiwan!
My visit was during lunch on 15 Nov 24.
Our pork loin and pork tenderloin katsu were thick-cut yet fried to perfection, juicy and succulent to bite into. We had a sesame brûlée dessert with one of the meal sets and its heavenly smooth and creamy but just right sweet.
Their pricing is very reasonable for the meat portions that they serve. The shaved cabbage is fresh and refillable, so is their Oolong tea.

Pork is cooked nicely to a pink color, soft anf easy to eat, and the lightly aromatic pork fat encourages you to take another bite into a second piece.. until there is none left. Read moreThe service at this place is terrible. We walked in at 6:30 and made reservation for 7:30. We weren't seated even at 7:45. The reason they gave was another group came late for their reservation and another group ate past their dining time. Why should the poor management of their policy impact me? We have to be somewhere in 45min. I ended up asking for togo knowing that would be faster than being served. To make it worse, we found hair in their fried pork.
