Ming Kui was my first breakfast restaurant in Taiwan. The restaurant is covered and open air (no door to enter). When I arrived, there was a queue for takeaway and one table available with around 5-6 chairs. Because I was dining alone, some people waiting for their takeaway also sat at the table, which I welcomed. At least one of the young staff working spoke and understood English. She helped me order from the menu, and I was able to share my dietary requirements. For example, I had the french toast without condensed milk. She also provided her recommendation, a club sandwich, and I ordered that without mayonnaise. The drink was dried longan tea (cold) without ice. The tea was very sweet, so I sipped on it with each bite, and that turned out to be a good mix. The food itself was good (4/5). The drink arrived first, followed by the french toast, and a couple of minutes later the club sandwich. Another staff member spoke English when I paid. As soon as I left the table, someone else sat down. Overall, it was a good, relaxed experience and an enjoyable first.
