Xuji Sunrise ChungMao — Restaurant in Taoyuan City

Can’t believe I never left a review for this place as this is my third visit to this location and each dining experience just gets better and better!

Upon exiting the elevator at the 11th floor, we were warmly greeted by the hosts & the manager (I assume). We were lead to our table within minutes upon checking in and as the hosts walks each diners to the table they’d do a quick introduction on the layout of the buffet.

The varieties of food here caters to everyone- from prime rib to yakitori to sashimi to crab legs to teppanyaki and yakitori. Oh and do not miss their dessert section- the ice cream and itsy bites of chocolate fudge are out of this world! Moreover, the varieties did not sacrifice the quality as seafoods are super fresh, crab legs are perfectly seasoned with all the condiments &freshly cooked hot foods! I can’t say enough good things about Sunrise except that there may be a slight wait since the chefs prepares food in ample portions to control The freshly & the quality of the food on the counter.

Oh the best part though- what prompted this review is the SERVICE!! Specifically the chef from the teppanyaki who makes super delicious string vegetables & the chef at the sashimi station they were super nice and accommodating. But our servers went above and beyond as they pick up empty or dirty plates within minutes and even took the time to teach my daughter how to dissect/crack perfect crab legs! I think his name was Johnny, so thank you Johnny!

Some details on dining here- sunrise doesn’t comp parking in the same building & the dining limit is 2 hours (more than enough for me). Went there for lunch and I believe it was about TWD1300 ish for adults.

There are 3 levels of this kind of Japanese all-you-can-eat series in the same group, A Joy, Sunrise, Eat-together. I visited its second best - The Sunrise.... What makes the difference among these three. Environment, choice of food, and price.... After visiting Sunrise this time, I have all five stars overall. But... If you ask me from a CP prospect, Eat-together might be a better choice since it has more different kinds of sashimi, I don't crave for those snow crab legs and lobster chunks, so the regular Japanese cuisine was what I focused on.... Anyway, it's still a good choice if you want to celebrate a special event! For me, I'm rational and pursuing what matches my appetite first... Bye Bye A Joy, Sunrise.......
