Bobochacha Malaysia Restaurant — Restaurant in Wenshan District

Cheap, fast, and filling, but food served here is almost nothing like the original cuisine this restaurant claims to sell.

We ordered Hainan chicken rice (海南雞飯), a dish served across Malaysia and Singapore, and Penang-style fried flat rice noodles (檳城炒粿條). The chicken texture wasn't bad, but the dish was very different from that in Singapore and Malaysia, being served up with a kind of heavy and salty gravy that seemed completely at odds with the red spicy sauce. The noodles tasted as though a huge amount of black sugar had been added, and had a slight odour of burnt plastic to them which was somewhat overpowering.
