石井屋日本料理(員林店) — Restaurant in Yuanlin City

This was one of the worst Japanese restaurants I have been to in recent times. I expected way better service and food considering that it is a sibling restaurant to the one in changhua but oh boy was I disappointed. Firstly, the service was absolutely horrible. I went there with seven people and ordered set meals for all of us and when it came serving the food, the waiters were clumsy and often hit the sake bottle on the table spilling everything all over the place. What’s worst was that they often times didn’t serve the food for all of us, usually one or two people were left with nothing when dishes were served as the waiters had said they were not done yet. I personally waited for more than 15mins before my food was served compared to the rest of my mates. I cannot stress further how appalling their service is. Secondly the food was cold when it reached the table. I ordered set meals for all seven of us and when it came the baked shrimp, it came to the table cold. Take a moment to think about that, I’m paying 80USD each person and they are serving me food that went cold. I could have spent half that amount in any other restaurant and I probably would have gotten a better service and experience. Lastly, they tried serving me the desserts and fruits before I’m even started drinking my soup. This was very insulting as it was as if them basically telling me to finish and get out. Very well decorated, lots private rooms. Bar seating area and tables in the dining room.

Great service. Staffing was very friendly and well trained. They introduced me to their specialties.

If you have some food allergies, they will substitute to different ingredients to serve you.

They delivered two hot towels to you, once in the beginning of your meal and one more after. That is the best part of the meal.
