Delicious! This is my goto for high value, good quality all you can eat hotpot. Frequent this place on average once a month.
Great quality and variety of meat and seafood. Also available on free flow are cakes (not our cup of tea) and other desserts, fruits, sushi, hot dishes, ice cream and other frozen treats, various juices and drinks, etc.
Meat wise, they usually have a fatty cut of beef, a leaner cut of beef, a fatty cut of pork, a leaner cut of pork, lamb, and duck although this varies by whether it is weekday lunch, weekday afternoon tea (usually there is no duck and the leaner cut of beef), weekday dinner, or weekend service.
Ice cream wise, they usually have 6 choices of Haagen Dazs and 2 choices of Meiji creamsicles plus 2 choices of fruit flavored popsicles.
Many reviewers complain this branch is more expensive than the others; this is probably because this Zhubei flagship store offers Haagen Dazs ice cream.
They have a birthday promotion where those who dine there during their birthday month are offered a 25% discount (with their dining companions offered 10% discount).
20200109: They ran a promotion from 20191211 to 20200117 where for TWD 100 extra during weekdays you could enjoy all you can eat Australian Wagyu beef. Having tried it can say this particular wagyu was nothing special.
20201030: They ran a promotion from 20201005 to 20201030 where they served USDA choice certified angus beef during weekdays. meat was somewhat more fatty but more importantly sometimes the meat was sliced with the grain contrary which necessitated...
Read moreThis place is a smorgasbord of delights. First, the soup refills are in teapots all lined up at the buffet. You don't have to bother anyone for refills and you can switch up the soups if you like.
You have a wide assortment of veggies in baskets and foodstuffs, delicious fish balls and mochi and other unhealthy "fake food"
The fresh meat you have to go and ask for them to slice it. It is next to the seafood on ice. There's sushi and hot foods before that. All in all, it is like a buffet but you get an individual hot pot in addition to THAT.
There are bottled sodas. I can never get over the simple joy in life of using the bottle opener provided of the side of the fridge to open a small soda bottle. I rarely splurge on glass bottle sodas. I usually get cans or plastic bottles. It makes me feel like I am really moving up in life. There are other beverages, coffee machines that whip up a good red bean green tea latte.
For frozen treats, they have Häagen-Dazs per usual but also Coldstones with some special Asian flavors. They have a horizontal fridge of ice cream bars, just like 7. There are the classics like Pudding pop, grape with cheese, and durian.
There is a dessert house of cakes and beer. You need staff to serve you those. It does a bit of class to the place, getting to order it by number.
Robots go around so you can dump your dirty trays (which can really pile up) but there are plenty of workers to tidy up too.
You can get a cheaper price by going to afternoon tea. There are also discounts for seniors and...
Read moreNormal for buffet hot pot. Can be VERY busy in peak times and winter. If busy they are usually slow to refill buffet items needed for the hot pot itself (which is annoying). Includes buffet for veggies, dumplings, noodles and tofu items. Back counter has hot and fried foods as well as sushi. Small seafood area on ice. Sliced beef and pork on plates at the back right counter. Drink fridge with with cans, boxes and glass soda bottles. A huge selection of dipping sauces you can mix yourself. Self serve drink machines including coffee, tea, cold juices, slush. 2 small ice cream freezers. One with ice pops and ice cream bars and the other is self serve Haagen Dazs. The downside is that all of the cakes and sweets are behind a glass display. There is not always a staff member there which is ridiculous. BAR BEER in this same display. A few plates of sliced fruit available near dessert cabinet. IMO parents need to watch their children and not let them run off to the buffet on their own. The younger children step up in the plate shelf with dirty shoes. They use their hands to grab food and more than once I have watched them touch food with hands and then...
