HAD A WORST AFTERNOON TEA EXPERIENCE EVER IN MY LIFE!
This is the place where I used to go when having a business trip to science park and always satisfied with their service and foods. However, the experience today really change my mind and ruined my entire day as well.
Everything begins with the SPOILED STEAM EGGS they served. We noticed that the egg didn't taste and smell right at my 1st bite, unfortunately I swallowed all of them already. Afterward, we informed the waiter right away to stop serving rest of the egg to other customers but seems like someone else also had the same issue. The most disappointing thing is that we didn't get any apology at that time but just took away our dish. About half an hour later, the manager eventually came to us and admitted it was their fault and will compensate us with their beef noodle soup...
It's quite ridiculous that no one care about our health that I even need to ask the manager for the business card to be the contact window if I'm not feeling good after going back home.
Overall, I don't think this is the way how a 5 stars hotel and restaurant should be like Totally not worthy it for what I pay for. Won't definitely...
Read moreI have been here many times since it is a favorite of my grandma's. You can get a free birthday lunch if you go on your exact birthday with at least two friends. There is a 10% service fee.
I am giving it 5 stars because of the desserts. I didn't even notice until this time that they were so good. It's because I have been eating too many mediocre, overpriced desserts at trendy bakeries these days. They have the popular caneles, thousand layer egg tarts, basque cheesecake, etc. They have made-to-order desserts like waffles, crepes, and egg cakes. The egg cakes had cute designs and were really chewy and good! But my favorite is the creme brulee. And I don't even like creme brulee.
They also have a big variety of juices and reliable coffee and milk tea machines.
The ambience here is really nice because the tables are very spaced out and you don't feel the staff running around everywhere. It is a great place to go for a...
Read morehave been here multiple times only for afternoon tea buffet but it seems quality of the spread has gone down both in terms of variety and quality of the items.
a few points: -roast beef was good but somewhat chewy. -desserts included hotel quality pastries, cakes, cookies, creme brulees, and raw chocolates. also available were made to order crepes and waffles. -ice cream was Haagen Dazs and New Zealand Natural.
a point of mention for improvement, but given how they remove the buffet spread precisely at the end time of the buffet, they should make more efforts to ensure that all customers are seated prior to the start time of the buffet. on more recent visits, the seating of customers was not finished by the start time...
