Club Afrikando — Restaurant in Dar es-Salaam

Let me say first that the food is soooo GOODT! Me and my friend went back the next day! However, the service is subpar. Both times we went, we literally waited 20+ minutes for cocktails. I watched the so called "bartenders" literally play on their phones and do everything else before they started to make our cocktails. When we went back the second day, the owner/chef had to get involved. Also, the second time we ate here, we had to combat a thousand flies. I don't like swapping at flies while I am trying to eat a meal. We were not on the patio, we were INSIDE the restaurant! Both times we went the food was so good and fresh. We had fish, ribs, the best ugali ever(I'm American, so this is not something we eat, but it tasted way better than other ugali I've tasted), fries, steak...omg...The next time I visit Dar Es Salaam, I will definitely go again. Most likely at night when the flies are asleep! And hopefully better...

In short, Club Africando ain't a typical Bar but rather an eatery place where you can get different kind of drinks including some selection of beers

Come food, they are among the best, very very delicious, enough portion and very well saved, If you in hurry I would recommend you press the order prior to the visit as will serve you a lot of time and waiting

Sorroundings I give them 3, a bit unique, still under construction will very tight packing sport, but for the washroom I will give them 4/5.

They need to improve as price ain't that affordable but yet you have to pay cash, hope they will soon...

We wanted to try something different in Dar Es Salaam and not necessarily in the touristy area. The Africano was the perfect place. Even if the place was a bit challenging to find by our taxi, (and the road is in bad condition), it's all worth it at the end. Chef Frederik and his staff are welcoming and the food was just freshly cooked and very tasty! I ordered Nile perch with Chips and vegetables on the side. The chips were crunchy and hot with an amazing pepper dip. Beer and bottled water available. I highly recommend this place and surely will return next time I am in...
