They have plain, almond, and choloate croissants and they are light and flaky. Possibly the only place that has croissants in Mwanza.

But they serve them after warming them in a microwave. You can ask them not to warm them, if you want them cold.

Their food was below average. We had crunchy chicken, mushroom pepper steak, and beef salad.

Kaffeehaus is a five star establishment, by Mwanza standards. No, the food doesn't come as quickly as you want it to and the service has some of those classic Tanzanian quirks-- but the food and coffee are good, the options are better than other cafes (really, waaaay better), and the servers pay attention to your needs in a way they don't elsewhere. As a bonus, the atmosphere is really modern and beautiful. Whoever designed it really did their thing. I'd love this place to stay in business for many years to come and I'll do my best...
