The Royal Oven — Restaurant in Sisimba

As my regular place to get good baked goods, I can't help but recommend the Royal Bakery. The bread is a step above what you find from most other companies in town, and they have a wide range options and other things to offer.

I can say that if you get yesterday's baked goods, they aren't likely to last more than a couple days longer, but you can often see which day they were made. I know that other people order exactly what they want and pick it up, which is a good option if you want it to be as fresh as possible. Some of the things I can only recommend if they're fresh, like the chocolate croissants.

The have very nicely decorated cakes. They didn't live up to my expectations in terms of taste, but I often see people buying them, so it may be that Tanzanians do like the taste.

Buyers be ware. I’ve gone to this bakery twice. Both times I ordered beef sausages (1000 TZS each ) and other items. In each case the sausages were missing. A total of 6000 TZS. The first time I dismissed the misshaped. Now that this happened again, I suspect dishonest. Check your takeout....
