Zad-East Resta & Bar is a must-visit spot if you find yourself on the stunning southeast coast of Zanzibar. Nestled right on the beautiful beach of Jambiani, it offers an unbeatable combination of delicious food, friendly people, and the kind of serene tropical vibe you dream about.

The food is amazing — fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want by the ocean. My absolute favorite snack was the melted tuna, which is basically a rich, tasty tuna pâté — so simple yet unforgettable. All the seafood I tried was perfectly prepared and full of flavor.

What makes Zad-East truly special, though, is the view and the calm. Sitting there with your feet in the sand, watching the turquoise waves roll in, you can’t help but feel completely relaxed. If you’re lucky to be there on a Thursday, you’ll get to enjoy their live music nights — good entertainment, dancing, and always a fun, laid-back vibe.

The staff are wonderful — warm, welcoming, and ready to make your visit memorable. Special shoutout to Sabrina, Fatma and Hassan, who were especially kind, but really the whole team is fantastic.

Pure Magic in Jambiani

The beachfront location is absolutely breathtaking, perfect for slow lunches or dreamy dinners with your feet in the sand. The atmosphere is calm, elegant, and filled with that special island charm.✨

But what really makes this place unforgettable is the food!! Their fish curry is hands down one of the best I’ve ever had – rich, perfectly balanced, and full of flavor. It quickly became one of my top favorites here in Zanzibar!And the coconut balls? A total fantasy. Soft, delicate, and impossible to forget!🍽️🍛🥥

We came here for lunch after looking at the reviews online. We ordered just after arriving and waited 1h 30minutes before getting the food. The tuna takiti was mediocre and the rice was cold and moist. The seafood pasta was terrible and not as expected, it was more of a vegetable wok. The beef burger was decent but why pay the cheese and the fries were too soft and yellow. The grilled octopus was very little compared to the price and it was chewy. The staff is nice but not very talkative. The view was amazing but it’s not worth...
