MTB Somtam — Restaurant in Bang Chak Subdistrict

Delicious and affordable! I had the pad thai and papaya salad. It is a big space with indoor seating and a couple of tables outside, there are lots of fans, quite a bit of seating, they don't speak much English, but the menu is in English.

Dishes came out one by one, and once I saw grandma cooking, I knew it was going to be one of the best meals I've had in Bangkok! I was not disappointed 😍

Can't wait to go back and try other menu items (it's a big menu!).

Sadly, they don't sell Thai iced tea. That would have been perfect...

เข้าไปครั้งแรกเลยคือมีโต๊ะว่างเยอะพอสมควร แต่พนักงานไม่เก็บโต๊ะเลย อาหารเหลือบนโต๊ะเยอะมาก โชคดีเจอโต๊ะที่เก็บแล้วอยู่ 2 โต๊ะ

รอเมนูประมาณ 10-15 นาที จนต้องถามแฟนว่า "เธอว่าเขาเห็นไหมว่าเรามา"

หลังจากนั้นนั่งรอมากกว่า 30 นาที น้ำก็ไม่มาเสิร์ฟซักที สั่งไป 8 อย่างไม่ได้ซักอย่าง เราเริ่มเห็นว่าคนที่มาหลังเราได้ก่อน

จนเกือบ ชม. ถึงได้เล้งมา 1 ชาม และนั่งรอไปอีกสักพักใหญ่ๆ น้ำก็ไม่มา อาหารอย่างอื่นก็ไม่มา เราเริ่มกรุ่นๆละ ให้พนักงานเช็คให้หน่อยว่าทำหรือยัง สุดท้ายพนักงานเอาส้มตำไทยที่เราไม่ได้สั่งมาให้ เลยปฏิเสธไปว่าไม่ได้สั่ง

สักพักเอาข้าวเปล่าที่เราไม่ได้สั่งมาเสิร์ฟ พอเราบอกว่าไม่ได้สั่ง สั่งข้าวเหนียวไป พนักงานถึงได้แจ้งว่า ข้าวเหนียวหมด เราก็สงสัยว่างั้นทำไมไม่มาแจ้งหรือถามเราก่อนเอามาเสิร์ฟ ก็ได้ปฏิเสธไป

แฟนเห็นท่าไม่ดีเลยเดินไปคุยกับยายที่จัดการออเดอร์ว่าทำถึงไหนแล้ว เราอยากจะยกเลิกแล้ว

ระหว่างที่แฟนคุยกับคุณยาย เรานั่งรอที่โต๊ะ มีการเอาข้าวผัดอเมริกันและข้าวหมกไก่ที่เราไม่ได้สั่งมาเสิร์ฟอีก เราก็บอกไม่ได้สั่งและลุกไปแจ้งคุณยายเลยว่ารอเป็น ชม. น้ำดื่มยังไม่ได้เลยค่ะ ได้อาหารมาอย่างเดียว คุณยายเมิน ไม่ขอโทษ ไม่อธิบายอะไรสักคำ ถามแค่ได้อะไรแล้วบ้าง สุดท้ายเรายอมจ่ายค่าเล้ง แล้วเดินออกเลย

The price is super reasonable, the food quality and taste is amazing.

The restaurant is super clean.

We usually get Somtam, Tom Yum Koong, Stir Fried Kale with Crispy Pork, fried chicken, fried eggs and many more.
