Jasmine Restaurant (Halal) — Restaurant in Bang Kapi Subdistrict

My father went to Bangkok Hospital for his surgery. He stopped at this restaurant on the day he got admitted to the hospital to get a quick lunch. He paid 2000 baht in place of 200 and when he was leaving, the staff returned him the rest of the money saying he overpaid. He also left his important hospital documents in a bag while waiting there and later couldn’t recall where he left them at. When he was coming back to hotel, he found someone waiting in front of the hotel/hospital with his bag/documents. My Dad felt overjoyed and really grateful to them and shared this with me after his surgery! I told him I will post a good review and he made sure I mention this. We went to eat Arabic food here the other night and were sorely disappointed. They claimed many of the options that we asked for on the menu were not available (even basics like Arabic bread) because the kitchen was closing (it was 9 pm and the restaurant was open until 11). We ordered mutabbal (passable), Naan (ok), tabbouleh (so salty that it was frankly inedible), kofta (dry), a falafel sandwich (even drier and covered in sickly sweet ketchup), soggy fries and the WORST hummus I have ever had (we have lived in Dubai for over 15 years). Me and my family were in the area for a few days and we were left with this as the only halal option, let me say we were so disappointed.

The service was bad. The order takes at least 15 mins before arriving. Even the drinks they don’t serve u first and rest assured they take so long to arrive on the table. The food portion was small. Some of the dishes we ordered were very salty.Some arrived cold. The chicken we ordered was dry.

Given the price, this is absolutely unacceptable.

The only dish i liked was the grilled chicken. If you are stuck with only halal option, don’t come here.
