We were visiting this area of Bangkok due to a convention we were attending and booked at Villa Toscana Italian Restaurant. Wow....very inviting as soon as you walk through the doors. We sat in a separate seating area but immediately were amazed at the musical sounds of a man playing a stringed instrument inside the room. It really made the night listening to live music! We felt like we were transported to Italy, with huge tables surrounded by family and loved ones as the room filled with music and laughter. We each ordered numerous dishes and a bottle of Italian red wine. For us, the pizza was absolutely delicious. The base was beautiful and fluffy yet crispy on the outer. My husband ordered the Seafood Spagetthi, and oh my, the amount of seafood and the quality of the seafood was outstanding, impressively cooked to perfection. I also really enjoyed the fresh, very rustic tomato soup that was full of garlic and deliciousness. The beautiful talented chef explained very proudly her dishes and we found her to be so friendly, humble and attentive, we really enjoyed speaking to her and she should be very proud of the dishes she lovingly crafts for each customer. Really wished there was the mushroom truffle soup available, but sadly, it had sold out. Hopefully, we can come back one day to try it as it sounds incredible. Now, we couldn't leave without sampling her Tiramasu for dessert. A lot of love goes into this dessert....this is a must try! To end the night, we were offered a choice of 4 liquors, including limoncello and Nero sambuca, and some delectable melt in your mouth chocolate truffles. We left with full bellies and very full hearts 💕 We really enjoyed each moment of our evening at Villa Toscana, the service was outstanding, the food was gorgeous, the atmosphere was relaxing and laid back we would 1000% recommend coming...
Read moreVilla Toscana is not particularly easy to get to, tucked away on a back street a few blocks off Sukhumvit Road near Bang Na metro station, but it is well worth the effort it takes to find it. This is a hidden gem. The restaurant is warm and cozy and the hosts (He’s from Milan; she’s Thai) are gracious and attentive, but the real star of the show is the food, which is outstanding. We saw on other tables fluffy-edged pizza covered with toppings, bowls of spaghetti and mussels, and lots more, but we can only speak authoritatively on the food we ordered. The bruschetta marinara we had as an appetizer was crispy but not too hard, overflowing with fresh cherry tomatoes, basil, garlic, olive oil and grated parmesan. Our main courses were gnocchi al gorgonzola e noci and tagliatelle with truffle and sausage, accompanied by a Laotian beer and a glass of Negroamaro Pugli. For dessert we had a bowl of vanilla, pistachio and blueberry cheesecake gelato (homemade, of course) topped with fresh strawberries and blueberries The ingredients throughout were fresh and flavorful, the gnocchi and tagliatelle handmade, the preparation subtle yet rich, and the result utterly delicious. In a city filled with a dizzying array of food choices, Villa Toscana is a standout, representing the very best of...
Read moreAbsolutely lovely experience. We arrived at 7pm on a weekend and were lucky enough to be greeted by a musician. He played some nice italian music during the whole meal. The atmosphere is very cosy. It feels like you're in an italian granny's home. Concerning the food, i had the pizza with Burrata and my husband had the seafood pasta. We both really enjoyed our meal. Be aware the seafood pasta is quite spicy, i couldn't eat it myself. The only negative was that they served me way before my husband. I had half finished my pizza, by the time his pasta arrived. As a Europeans, it's very rude to start eating before the other gets their food, but had no choice, otherwise it would have been cold. We finished the meal with a delicious pistachio gelato, served with some berries, and caramel sauce. The waiters were very nice and you could see they were trying their best to be fast and efficient. Would...
