During a recent trip to the hospital, I had the chance to visit the second branch of Zuru restaurant, and it certainly left a positive impression. The meal consisted of a crunchy roll, cold udon, and stir-fried pork, each dish highlighting the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients and expert preparation.

Starting with the seafood, the freshness was top-notch. The ika and white fish were especially remarkable, melting softly in the mouth. The chef’s precision in cutting the ika made it easy to chew and enhanced the overall dining experience.

The cold udon was a comforting dish, they were tender with just the right amount of seasoning to bring the dish together. It provided a subtle yet satisfying contrast to the more robust flavours of the other dishes.

The crunchy roll was a standout. The tempura flakes were fluffy and crispy on the outside, while the inside was packed with flavourful meat and perfectly seasoned rice. This dish was a great example of how texture and flavour can harmonise in a simple yet delicious way.

Lastly, the stir-fried pork with vegetables was well-executed. The pork was tender and well-marinated, though it leaned a bit on the sweeter side for my taste. Nonetheless, the chef’s selection of meat was excellent, ensuring that the pork remained juicy and not too dry even on the barbecue plate.

Overall, I was quite impressed with the quality and freshness of the ingredients at Zuru. This second branch continues to uphold the standards set by the original, making it a worthy destination for anyone seeking authentic...

Food: 56.5/60 The food is very good, especially because I like Japanese food. The salmon and sushi is very high quality. It is all very good.

Service: 16/20 The service is ok and the staff are nice, but they forgot 3 orders. 3!!! They claimed that something is wrong with the machine, which may or may not be true. Everything else is good.

Atmosphere: 19/20 The place is Ok decorated and is clean, so the atmosphere is considered Good.

Total: 91.5/100, it would have been 95 if there were no service problems...

Among bad restaurants in this area, ZURU is ok. I give three stars because their service can be worse in any days. Don't expect to get a good service even though we are required to pay for their services. Moreover, several kinds of sushi are now getting smaller and not as delicious as before. Quality can not be controlled as before. By coincidence, some dishes may be cooked by an unprofessional chef. That is...

Great place to enjoy Japanese food although prices are relatively pricey. Green tea and miso soup is refillable without extra charge. Service is very friendly and polite. Location is near a hospital with outdoor parking. There will be people driving golf carts picking you up after parking since it's a bit of a walk. Recommended for a nice meal with friends and family but probably not for a professional setting.
