Penpen Seafood Buffet — Restaurant in Bang Phlat Subdistrict

We went for the 1499 buffet which allows us to taste the whole menu. It's different to other buffets I've been too, as this one is order for it to arrive.

We went at 4pm, so I didn't feel the wait in between food took long, but I guess during peak hours there could be a wait as some dishes are prepared by the staff. For us, two three dishes came at a time, it worked really well for us. Place was with aircon, it was comfortable and clean

Personally speaking, I think there are items that were amazing and items were I can skip.

I think anything you see it the fish tanks are worth eating as that is prepared fresh. So the crabs, prawns, lobsters, squid. Personally these were very amazing, whether sashimi, garlic or grilled.

Beef quality could be better but that truffle sauce is delicious.

I didn't enjoy so much the fish or uni sashimi, it's not bad, but not amazing either but sashimi that was from the fish tank was great

The crab rice was nice, the beef rice also. You might want to order a few as small portion size.

Portion wise, some were small and some were huge. This isn't really an issue as you can order multiple times. Plus I don't mind this, as it avoids food wastage.

I think if you go, go for 799/ 999 / 1499 menu

I think 499 wise, I think I have had better options in other buffet places, but that's my opinion.

Customer service wise, they were helpful with us in English, nothing a Google translate and a little patience can't solve. They were quick...

เด็กเสริฟ์เหมือนจะเป็นต่างชาติ พูดไทยไม่ค่อยได้ ยังไม่แย่เท่า ฟังก็เหมือนไม่ค่อยจะรู้เรื่อง เสริฟ์ผิดเสริฟ์ถูก บอกไม่ได้สั่ง ยกกลับไป ก็เอากลับมาวางใหม่

เคาน์เตอร์ที่หั่นซาซิมิ มีพนักงานเคี้ยวนู่นนี่หมุบหมับกันอยู่ในนั้น เล่นกันไปคุยกันไป คือเอาจริงก็แล้วแต่กฎของร้าน มันดูไม่ค่อยมืออาชีพอะ ใจของลูกค้าคือ ที่เคี้ยวอยู่นั่น ไม่ได้มาจากจานเราใช่ปะ อะไรงี้

ปลาหมึกกล้วยซาซิมิ ขุ่นมาเลย ไม่กรอบ ไม่ใส ตัวเล็กจนสงสาร ไม่มีหนวดมาด้วย เรียกพนง.ว่านี่ปลาหมึกเป็นๆจริงหรอ พนักงานบอก “ค่ะ”

ปลานึ่งมะนาว คือ นึกว่านึ่งน้ำตาล หวานแบบขัดใจ กินแบบต้องใช้ความอดทน น้ำตารื้น

กุ้งเผา โอเค ผ่าน

หอยมะระ หั่นมาชิ้นหนา เคี้ยวไม่ออกเลย คนดัดฟันห้ามสั่ง ถ้าสั่งมาต้องเปลี่ยนเหล็กแน่นอน เคยกินมาหลายที่ ส่วนใหญ่จะหั่นบางๆ มันถึงจะกรอบ

หอยชักตีน เคี้ยวกรุบๆกรอบๆ ไม่ใช่เพราะเพลิน แต่เพราะมีทรายเยอะมาก กลิ่นไม่ค่อยดี

ปูนึ่งนมสด เย็นมาเลย เหมือนไม่ผ่านความร้อนมา อาหารที่ควรร้อนมาแบบเย็นๆ อาหารที่ควรมาเย็นมาแบบไม่เย็น

ปลาหมึกซันนักจี อันนี้โอเค ผ่าน

หอยนางรม ไม่ตรงปก ในรูปเมนูมีโรยไข่กุ้งมาแค่นั้น ของจริงคือคลุกน้ำพริกเผากับหอมเจียวมาแล้ว

ปลาไทยซาซิมิต่างๆ เนื้อปลาแห้งๆ เหมือนหั่นแล้ววางไว้นานแล้วก่อนเอามาเสริฟ์

กุ้งลายเสือซาซิมิ ไม่สดเลย

กุ้งแช่น้ำปลา กุ้งตัวเล็ก แบบเล๊ก เล็กกกก! รสชาติอาหารที่ปรุงเสร็จแล้ว ไม่ค่อยเวิร์ค

ข้าวสวย เป็นข้าวที่แบบทุกคนไม่น่าชอบอะ มาเม็ดบานๆ เหมือนข้าวที่เค้าตักใส่ถ้วยขายกันอะ

ข้าวไข่ดอง คือไม่ตรงปก แบบเห็นแล้วมองหน้าเพื่อนเลย ท้อใจในชีวิต

ซุปทรัฟเฟิล ตอนเอามาเสริฟ์นึกว่า เต้าทึงโต๊ะจีนงานแต่ง คือถ้วยชามที่เสริฟ์มันไม่ได้จริงๆอะ

พนักงานเดินมาถามว่า “อาหารเป็นไงคะ” ตอบไปอย่างที่รีวิวไว้ข้างต้น คือบอกพนักงานไปว่า คือตอนนี้ไม่รู้จะกินอะไร เพราะมันกินแทบไม่ได้เลยสักอย่าง พนักงานบอก แจ้งได้นะคะ เดี๋ยวเปลี่ยนให้” เราบอกว่า ไม่เป็นไร ไม่เปลี่ยนดีกว่า แต่อยากแจ้งไว้ให้ทราบว่ามันแย่จริงๆ

โดยรวมทุกอย่างคือ FAIL ตัดสินใจกับเพื่อนว่า ไม่ไหวแล้วว่ะ ไปกินอย่างอื่นเหอะ เดินไปเช็คบิล พนักงานบอกว่า กินให้หมดไหมคะ กินไม่หมดปรับนะคะ เราคือเหวอเลย ไม่ได้เหวอ ว่าไม่อยากจ่ายค่าปรับนะ แต่เหวอว่า คือยังกล้าปรับอีกหรอ ?!? แต่โอเค จ่ายได้ไม่ติด

เราบอกพนักงานว่า อาหารแย่จริงๆ แจ้งกับพนักงานไปแล้ว แต่ถ้าอยากปรับก็ไม่มีปัญหา จ่ายได้ เหมือนพนักงานอยากจะเอาชนะว่า ก็จะปรับอะ ถือตาชั่งไปที่โต๊ะ ชั่งแม้กระทั่งก้ามปูดอง โดนค่าปรับไป 70กว่าบาท ไม่เสียดายเงินนะ ถือว่าซื้อประสบการณ์ให้ตัวเอง

สรุป อย่างเดียวที่เวิร์คที่สุดในร้าน น่าจะเป็นน้ำจิ้มซีฟู๊ด รสชาติแซ่บ ตอนแรกที่อาหารยังไม่มา แล้วไปตักน้ำจิ้มมาชิมก่อน คือแบบดีใจ ว่ามื้อนี้อร่อยแน่ เพราะน้ำจิ้มเด็ด แต่ก็อย่างที่รีวิวไปด้านบน หลังจากนี้จะไปไหว้พระ ทำบุญ นี่ขนาดอ่านรีวิวมาแน่นแล้ว แต่มาเจอแบบนี้ไปไม่เป็นเหมือนกัน

ขอยืนยันว่าที่รีวิวมาทั้งหมด ไม่ได้รีวิวเอามันส์ แต่อยากให้เจ้าของได้ปรับปรุงและเอาไปพัฒนา รวมถึงพัฒนาการดีลกับลูกค้า...
