Shewin de Bangkok — Hotel in Bang Bamru Subdistrict

This is my 2nd time staying here. On the 1st occasion I was more forgiving...room on 3rd floor was great but the view was not, overlooking roofs of neighbouring houses but still peaceful. On the 2nd occasion, I stayed on the 7th floor and the view should have been better but the hotel's signage was just outside with floodlights pouring in. As a result, the room also had geckos presumably from the congregation of geckos outside which sneaked in when the window was open. Also, both rooms on either side of mine had balconies but mine did not....weird, or maybe not.The other problem was there was never any hot water on both occasions...semi-luke warm/cold at best and the temperature never changed whichever way you turned the shower tap.On the plus side, the bed was comfortable (although my 2nd stay had 2 singles joined together to make a king), big android TV, 7-11 is just 50m away, gym and pool.This hotel has potential .... with a good pool and gym, the restaurant has good food also, although not surprisingly more expensive.It is the simple things which makes you wonder....and I do wonder if trip.com, which gives you the cheapest prices amongst the other hotel apps, has anything to do with the choice of rooms I received. However to be honest, if I were to pay higher prices, this hotel is not worth it in view of it's location as there are a dozen better hotels and cheaper within a 2km radius minus pool/gym.All depends what your...

The location suited us, as we were looking for good value for money slightly outside the main tourist area.||A taxi from the hotel to Khao San Rd, for example was 120 Bht.||The staff were very helpful and even rang the Visa immigration department to find out where we needed to go and what we needed to extend our 30 day visa another 30 days.||Our room was large, clean and the bed was not only huge but super comfy.||There was a hairdryer, fridge ( ideal to chill your beers from the 7/11 2 mins walk from hotel) gowns, umbrella and slippers provided as well as tea & coffee facilities. The bathroom also had a great selection of toiletries.||Breakfast, although not extensive in choice, did the Job.||The restaurant menu, was however, extensive and the food was delicious and represented great value for money, in my opinion.||We were able to check in 3 hrs early and on the day we left we were able to use of the facilities and have a shower prior to leaving.||The hotel also has a washing machine and dryer in the basement, 50 Bht each, great if you are travelling||We would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again when we...

Everything, everyone is perfect here! Surprisingly great, from the morning buffet to facilities and swimming pool, from interior design to people's manners, especially thumb up for the services and staff attitude. All are considerate and served with heart and smiles which made us felt like friends and families home! Nothing to criticize for (Perhaps I only suggest having a tall dressing mirror in the room for ease of getting dressed).If the hotel is rated 5 stars, their services deserve 6 stars or more. It is definitely the BEST hotel I've ever stayed among all, even better than some international well-known brand 5-star hotels in other countries. Very satisfying and will come back next time.
