Shichi Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Bang Ramat Subdistrict

Very unfortunate experience. I came in this afternoon expecting luxury. What I got was a bizarre mix of chaos, juice, and ghost service.

The moment I stepped out of my car — boom — ambushed by an auntie aggressively trying to sell me orange juice. At the front of what’s supposed to be an upscale Japanese restaurant. Nothing screams elegance Japanese food like a juice hawker blocking your path, right?

Fine, I shook that off and went in. The menu looked promising, price tag matched — I aimed for their top-tier sushi set + one piece of uni, expecting something heavenly. Total? About 2,500 THB. Worth it, I thought.

Except… no one came to take my order. For 15 minutes. I literally displayed the menu like I was begging someone to take my money — placed it in front of me, angled toward the staff like a Bat-Signal for help.

Crickets.

After 15 soul-crushing minutes of invisibility, I gave up. Got up. Stormed out. Suddenly, every staff member noticed me — eyes followed me like I was a ghost that just learned how to walk through walls. Too late. Appetite gone. Mood murdered.

And for the grand finale, when I reached my car, an uncle demanded money for putting his branded cover on my windshield without asking. I refused. Got...

Used to come here (Rachapruek br) many times last year. Got 2 memberships for me and my son.

Unfortunately the service has been disappointing repeatedly.

Start from car park with a few guys standing right in front of your door waiting for tips every time once you arrived. Of course you gonna have to pay these people 50 thb otherwise you feel unsafe.

Service in the restaurant were also very disappointed. One time we booked a private room for my wife's birthday, but we had to go out asking for someone to get an order, turn up air-con, check bill, etc. Big surprise was there was no complimentary cake or dessert.

The staff said it's the restaurant policy not to provide anything even it's a special occasion.

Another time was our family dinner, again booked private room but no one waiting for your order. Had to go out every time we wanted something. Just wait til the end where a woman showed up and waiting for extra tip.

Food have also run down. You can feel that sashimi aren't that fresh.
